This workshop is designed specifically for those who wish to learn how to better use their point-and-shoot digital cameras. Perfect for the avid scrap-booker or family-event photographer.
There are hundreds of different digital cameras on the market. This one-day intensive workshop is designed to help you learn how to use the various modes on your point-and-shot camera to make impressive digital images.
You will learn what manually adjustable features your camera offers as well as what those various automatic settings are good for. We will explore non-studio lighting situations you are likely to find, what automatic settings to use, and how to tweak those manual settings to improve your picture.
We will also cover general composition theories for photography as well as touch on how to set up a good portrait or group shot. Finally, there will be a demonstration of some very basic photo editing techniques that can drastically change the qualities of your final print.
At the end of class you will have the chance to explore further avenues of photography by touring our darkroom and playing with a digital SLR camera. Class Limit: 12 people
